DigitalOcean Spaces is one of four S3 compatible object storage providers available on CloudSonic. It includes 250GB of storage and one terabyte of outbound transfer per month in its base price, making it a cost-effective option for sites with moderate media libraries. Any WordPress plugin or application that already connects to Amazon S3 will work with DigitalOcean Spaces without any code changes.

DigitalOcean Spaces for Object Storage on CloudSonic

CloudSonic connects your application or WordPress installation directly to DigitalOcean Spaces using your access key and endpoint URL, stored securely server-side. Because Spaces implements the S3 compatible API, the connection works identically to Amazon S3 and any plugin or tool already configured for S3 will work with Spaces using only different credentials. DigitalOcean Spaces is particularly cost-effective for sites with moderate media libraries given its included storage and transfer allowances in the base plan.
