Node.js on CloudSonic

Run Node.js applications on your CloudSonic server with full root access and managed infrastructure underneath

TL;DR Node.js

Node.js runs on CloudSonic out of the box. Deploy your Node application, manage processes with systemd, and get enterprise security and managed infrastructure underneath.

Node.js is a JavaScript runtime for building fast, scalable server-side applications and APIs, and it runs on CloudSonic out of the box. Deploy your Node.js application over SSH, manage it as a systemd service for automatic restarts, and proxy requests through Nginx to your application port. CloudSonic's full root access means you can install any Node.js version, configure environment variables, and run multiple Node.js applications on the same server.

Node.js for Application Hosting on CloudSonic

Node.js applications on CloudSonic are deployed over SSH, managed as systemd services for automatic restarts on failure and startup at boot, and proxied through Nginx which handles SSL termination, compression, and rate limiting before passing requests to your application port. CloudSonic's full root access means you can install any Node.js version using nvm, configure environment variables in systemd unit files, run multiple Node.js applications on the same server each on their own domain, and integrate deployments with GitHub or GitLab CI/CD pipelines via SSH.

Warning Node.js processes must be managed by systemd to survive server reboots; without a systemd unit file your application will not restart automatically after a reboot or crash.
